Thailand, which has been quarantined for 15 nights and 16 days due to the Covid-19 crisis, is finally open to foreigners.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's vow on June 16 to reopen Thailand by mid-October can be deemed a failure as only a few islands are welcoming vaccinated foreigners.

Five major tourist destinations -- Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Hua Hin, Phetchaburi and Bangkok -- were scheduled to reopen on Oct 1, but a Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) subcommittee recommended the date be pushed back to Nov 1.

 Prior to November, it was decided to make a 7-day quarantine mandatory. (The quarantine period will be shortened only for those who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 among travelers. And travelers need a certificate of vaccine.)


Quarantine periods will be shortened from 14 days to seven days for fully vaccinated foreign tourists. For visitors who have not been fully vaccinated, the quarantine will be 10 days for arrivals by air and water and 14 days for arrivals by land. Activities are allowed at quarantine facilities.

여행자는 코로나 19 백신을 맞은 사람에 한하여 격리기간이 단축됩니다.
태국으로의 여행자는 예방 접종 완료 증명서가 필요 합니다.


예방접종을 마친 외국인 관광객의 격리 기간을 14일에서 7일로 단축한다. 예방 접종을 완료하지 않은 방문객의 경우, 검역 기간은 항공 및 해상 도착의 경우 10일, 육상 도착의 경우 14일입니다. 격리 시설에서 활동이 허용됩니다.
